I am on the web most of the day. I am a project leader over a group of Java developers who maintain the website for AAA Missouri http://www.ouraaa.com/. This website is used by the public to view their AAA memberships and insurance policies and by our insurance agents to sell and service policies. At work I also use the web to research problems, technologies, and products. Most of this research starts at http://www.google.com/. At home I use the web to check my personal email and manage my fantasy football team at http://www.yahoo.com/. I stay connected to friends, family, and colleagues at http://www.facebook.com/ and http://www.spoke.com/. I also attend school in the evenings at Missouri School of Science and Technology, http://www.mst.edu/.
In general I think the web has had a positive effect on society. The web has allowed people to connect and stay connected in ways never possible before. It has created a forum for people to share thoughts and feelings. It has allowed users to access huge amounts of information that they didn't have access to before.
